About this policy
This policy explains how the iOS game Tarnwake handles information. Tarnwake is an offline, single-player boat game. It has no servers of its own and does not connect to any online service while you play.
Information the game keeps
To remember your progress, Tarnwake saves a small amount of game data locally on your device:
- your pinecone balance, boats, refits, pilots and chosen loadout;
- best distances, lifetime totals, honors and the daily haul streak;
- a logbook of past voyages, including the photo-finish image the game renders from its own playfield when a voyage ends;
- sound, music, haptics and replay settings.
None of this identifies you. Photo-finish images are pictures of the game's lake, not your camera. Tarnwake never uses the camera, photo library, microphone, location or contacts.
How it is used
This data is used only inside the game to show your progress, rank you on the offline Standings and fill in your Logbook and Tally. It is never transmitted off the device, sold, or shared with anyone.
The Standings
The 10,000-skipper Standings is generated entirely on your device. The other skippers are simulated, and your own best distance is compared against them locally. Nothing is uploaded.
Third parties
Tarnwake contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting services and no third-party software development kits. There are no in-app purchases.
Keeping and deleting data
Your saved game stays on your device until you delete the app. Deleting Tarnwake removes all of its data, including every logbook photo. Older logbook photos are also removed automatically to save space, except for your record voyages.
Children
Tarnwake is a family-friendly game suitable for general audiences. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
